I'm working on a panel afghan and I can't decide what the color scheme should be. This much I know:
It will be five panels with 2 different colors.
One color is Wheat:
I'm torn between these colors:
Spice:
Claret:
or Plum:
Any suggestions?
P.S. There are no monkeys in any of the patterns I'm using!

I'll take a pic tonight!
Oh, and I had to get the Claret colored yarn because I couldn't find the Spice or Plum. But it's nicer in person... I'll take a pic of that too!

ooh fancy! There is a place by me called Goldman's Yarn, that DH claims is the place to for all things yarn, so I hope to by there soon.
It need a new crochet hook. Mine is plastic & way too slippy.
hmmm...I'm wondering why your DH is interested in ANYTHING yarn...let alone 'all things'
do tell!
There's nothing wrong with a man who can SEW! Seriously, his mom taught him hems & buttons & he is more patient & detail oriented than me, so he his better at it.
He reccommends that store though, b/c he has gotten gifts there for me & his mom. And I think he found it all by himself, not on a recomendation, so he is very proud of that. (Normally he is a bad shopper)
HOWEVER, someone once told me I couldn't learn knitting from a book & DH was offended, b/c he thinks he can learn anything from a book, so he has picked up my knitting ( b/c I moved on to crochet) and is doing quite well.
He mostly just wants to prove he can do it, I don't think he'll really persue it as a hobby after that.

Why are we involved with the same man?
Mr Boots knows tons of fabric and yarn stores (well, circa 1988) because his mom and grandma dragged him to them. He can't hem or sew, but he firmly believes that he can learn anything and then do it better than everyone else.
Unfortunately his laziness outweighs his ambition in most arenas.

Hmmmm...in these days of H&M, I simply throw out anything sans hem or button just so I can buy a new one
Anyway, mad props to your DH, he could probably make a better hat than I But, to be fair, I did learn via the internet (hey, if someone can get ordained, the least I can do is learn how to knit!!! )
