Africa

I would love to go to Africa for my honeymoon!! I know its a lil dangerous there and there is a lot of poverty but i've always wanted to explore it. FH is against it, but i'm not giving up on trying to convice him. Anyone else want to go there..?

I heard it's nice but it's def not where FH & I would every go - I'm looking forward to sitting my butt down on a beach!

I would love to but not for my honeymoon...Since your FH is not thrilled about the idea pick a place you both would be excited about.

yea, most likely we'll end up going somewhere where we can be lazy, but i would love to go to africa atleast once.

Africa sounds wonderful! It's not where we going for our honeymoon.. but I do plan to go for my 40th birthday. Most of my well traveled friends rave about Africa.. maybe you and FH can plan for an anniversary trip, perhaps.

Well, if you go to Africa I'm sure the resort will not be in the poverty strickened area unless you want to go there. I heard that Africa is a beautiful country and maybe they can take you on a safari tour.

hahaha i told FH i wanted to go to egypt realllllly bad.. and he shot down that real quick... he rather lay on the beach... ugh!!!

I have heard both sides of the story on this one!

One of my co-workers went on an African safari about 5 or 6 years ago...She LOVED IT!! She said she cried when she left because it was such a beautiful country. it's all she ever talks about and I finally told her that she needs to go back because whenever she talks about she just gets this amazing glow. But, she LOVES animals, so for her, seeing all the animals in their natural habitat was like nirvana.

On the other hand, I once worked for an attorney and they decided to go on a safari for the honeymoon. His fiancee at the time used to call and tell me how psyched she was, she couldn't wait to go, it was going to be the most amazing experience ever!

So, the day he comes back from his honeymoon, I go into his office and say, 'Welcome back! So tell me...how amazing was Africa???'

He looked at me with a deadpan and said, 'We lasted three days...'

Apparently, his new wife hated it and they ended up having to go to a hotel somewhere in Africa for the three weeks.

So I guess maybe you should pick something that the both of you will really love.
