I truly don't mean this to be exclusive, but most of the information on this forum specific to Black brides is out-dated and limited. Therefore, I'm curious to if there are other brides like me on here looking for some direction LOL. This is more culturally based rather than on skin-tone, so please don't take offense. If you feel you have helpful info, feel free to share. Here's what I mean:
MUA suggestions? (Artists that work with darker skin tones. I've heard too many horror stories of brides with makeup too light for their skin and they didn't notice until seeing their wedding pics!)
Hair stylists? Specifically those that know how to work with natural hair and kinky textures?
Any cultural traditions you're incorporating (My family is Jamaican. My fiancé's is American (black/Native American). Anyone incorporating their island heritage? Black cake? Rum punch cocktails? LOL. Any one incorporating African American wedding traditions? Jumping the broom? Any other AA traditions?)
Although I don't limit myself, I do like to support Black owned business when possible. Any
vendor suggestions (photog/video/etc.)?
What about DJ? I want a good mix of Top 40 /70s & 80s R&B and dance/ Hip hop/ reggae)
Offiiciant??
Thanks, ladies!

Greetings fellow brides,Using Lotus for photography (we LOVE our engagement pictures and our photographer), unfortunately I still don't have anyone for hair or makeup for the reasons you mentioned above. I tried to get a trial with Milena, but our schedules conflicted. I will attempt to try her at a later date. I will post my opinions of the work after the trial.
Unfortunately, I tried to book Lesean Rowe for video and he never responded back and this was after multipe attempts so we decided to look elsewhere.
Following for suggestions.
