So sorry!!! Hope you are better soon. I had pneumonia and mono at the same time. It did stink, but once I started on meds, it cleared up pretty quickly. You should be ok in 14 days tops. What did they give you? I was on erythromicin, big pills but they did the trick. Make sure you take the pills with a meal - even if it's not erythro, I am sure whatever they gave you is hard on the stomach.

They gave me the same pills along with an inhaler (Albutrin). I've been taking the pills with tons of water because I have the flush my system from the CAT scan IV fluids.

I'm still coughing a lot, but it's so much easier to breathe now.

Please eat with the pills too. They are very hard on the lining of your stomach and could give you a nasty stomach ache if you don't eat enough.

He's really weird about new teachers taking sick days. I've gotten so sick this past year and this was my 6th day taken. I have the hospital release form and I'm going to hand that in tomorrow as proof of why I had to be out today.
