I saw after hours today at a showcase and I was not impressed.
I find that whenever I see a dj showcase they are always playing like the electric slide type of dances. My fiance and I don't want those type of dances at weddings.
Should we not judge them by their showcase?

i was there and they said they will conform to what you like and dont like. They are pretty much showing you what can be done at the wedding and such.

Most djs will play those type of songs because it's almost a guarantee that people will get on the dance floor but if you don't want those they will not play it. Just give them a list of 'Don't Play' songs and you'll be fine.

I am booked with Phil too. HE is awesome, very attentive and listens to EXACTLY what the bride and groom want. If you don't want group dances just tell him and he won't play them.

I booked him too. DJ's are there to play whatever the bride/groom ask for. I already told him no line dances so I'm not worried. Especially at a showcase, they have to show you a variety of options so I don't think you can really judge him for that. For a wedding he will play whatever you want. He's great and we're happy with our choice.

I was there too! We had booked Phil after our first meeting and based on several recommendations from friends. We have no regrets after seeing them.
I agree with the other girls. It's a showcase, so they have to put on a 'show'.
And it's true...they will only play what you want them to play. You even give them songs you don't want played.
I think you need to meet with him one on one to discuss things and your concerns...he's great, professional, and listens to what you want.
It's YOUR day and he's about giving you what you want.
