I have a DJ Dilemma I hope you ladies can help with. We've met with Phil from After Hours and Frank from FM Entertainment and loved them both. I want to book with one of them, but don't know who to choose.
Frank performed a mini-set for us so I have an idea of what we're getting from him. But I have not seen the DJ's from After Hours in action. And this is important because we're just doing a 1-man DJ/MC package. Frank said he has lots of experience being both the DJ and the MC. But After Hours are one of the 'house dj's' of our venue, so they have lots of experience working there.
So, I guess my questions are...
Have any of you seen the DJ's at After Hours do a 1-man set? If so, which DJ was it? I've seen on the website that Brett, James, Rob and McLovin all do both. Anyone have any personal experience to share? Thanks!

If I knew I could get Phil, it would be a no-brainer. But he told me I would have to have a DJ and an MC if I wanted him. :(

We went with FM Entertainment. We did not like the DJ/MC available from After Hours.
All the DJ's work at all the catering halls, so no one really has more experience than another DJ. I did call WM prior to booking FM to make sure there was not a problem with him and they said all was good.

We're using Frank from Fm Entertainment. He was amazing at the showcase and reasonably priced. I don't think you can go wrong with either choice!!

i choose frank from fm too..we are having a 1 man dj/mc this was one of the reasons why we went with him..i knoew it would be him at the wedding and liked how he could do both with other people can too but we didnt want our DJ MC to be too involved.

CRASHING! Can I ask.. I booked After Hours for next summer... I booked a two man DJ/MC. I have Phil but I am thinking I may just want him to DJ/MC. Whats the benefit of doing 2 people vs. one??
I don't understand why Phil told me I'd have to book a two-man package if I wanted him when he's doing the one-man show for other weddings. Maybe because I'm not buying any upgrades and just looking at the most basic package? Anyway, that made my decision for me.

We chose after hours over FM.. They have a YouTube channel and you can see all their djs and mcs in action if you want. We're using Kenny
