After Party AGAIN

I know there was a post on this on the other board, but I'm having a day wedding and FH and I were planning on going to a hotel afterwards. We reserved a room w/a jacuzzi and we have a basket full of 'fun' stuff for us.

Should I be thinking of having a get together afterwards? The wedding ends at 6:30. I was really looking forward to our 'romantic' evening alone, even though we live w/each other. I just don't want to be a party pooper!!! FMI is having a get together at her house but it's all the way in Nassau and we'll be in Suffolk. I have a car picking us up the next morning to take us to the airport for our HM

If you've made plans already and that's how you want to spend your evening then don't worry about it.

Well ... you guys could compromise. Maybe go to your in-laws until like 9 and then go back to your hotel. You'd still have plenty of time for a 'romantic night' ! If it's a matter of driving back and forth between Suffolk and Nassau ... maybe car pool w/ someone who will be going in the same direction? I know it sounds corny and tacky ... but talk to your in laws .. maybe they won't mind whether you're there or not.

They aren't even including us. Of course, we are invited, but she wasn't expecting us. She told me the bride and groom should go off together alone. I guess I could play it by year.
