After seeing the onvitation i wish i had spent a little more money on my invites. Mine were super cheap and boring Oh well, too late now!

I think you'd do a great job at it, its real easy but sometimes when just looking at it quickly ppl think its harder. All youre going to need are those 3 types of cardstock, well those colors, each one a different size, the store you even buy the paper from can cut them to the size you need too. Then all there really is left to it is using permanent double sided tape to mount one on top of the other. The ribbon part is easy too. Once you start doing it, youll think WOW its crazy how much ppl charge for those invites when they are so easy to do BUT they are time consuming so thats why

You can definitely make them. I made my own pocketfolds and although it was time consuming if you work on a couple a day you should be done in no time. Just make sure that you measure all the sides and get them cut professionally (you can bring them to staples or something). Get the cardstock glue and you will be set to go. Good luck if you decide to do them.
