After the wedding....

How many people had or are planning to have their dress cleaned and preserved? How much does it cost?

Thanks!

My Godfather was such a Big Help. The night of the wedding he took Alot of stuff home with him, including my dress. He then had it cleaned & preserved for me.

I think it was around $150/$200.

88 days later, I still haven't done this but I plan to...
I feel like it makes it official that I'm never going to wear it again, so I'm procrastinating!!!!

I gor an idea the other day. I think I want to have my brother comeover and take picsof my DD running around in the dress, maybe in the srping. After that I wanna have it cleaned and preserved, even though the organza overlay is trashed!

I'm going to try to sell my dress.

It's beautiful, but I don't have space for it

I used wedclean.net and they were great and pretty inexpensive. I think it was about $150 when you added in the insurance.

I got mine done at a place that did a phenomenal job. I saw it before it was preserved and it looked BRAND NEW - I was SHOCKED that the bottom was as clean as it was the day I brought it home.

They also have a referral program. They will mail you a check for $50 if you get another girl to go there. It works! A girl here recommended I go there and I have her name and she got the check!

FM me if you are interested so I can give you details!

I went to my local seamstress/drycleaner and had it preserved and cleaned for $150. I can't refer you because we live in NJ now, but i'm sure that you can find someone on LI in the price range.

My mom took my dress to the cleaners while we were on our honeymoon...I still haven't picked it up!
Just a regular cleaning was $100.00. I'm planning on taking 'day after' photos in a couple of months so I didn't want to preserve it yet.

I plan to, but haven't looked into it yet. For now, it's in a garment bag, hanging in my attic.

I had mine cleaned and preserved through the wedding gown preservation co. It was about $250 I think, and It took about 2 months. It is in a box with a window so I can see the top of the dress.
