after wedding hotels?

HI all

i am getting married at the chateau briand in feb 2001. does anyone suggest any hotels in that area for me to go to after the wedding? do you think the Marriott has the best price? or is there a really nice other hotel around there that doesn't charge an arm and a leg.

hotels near JFK

I'm hoping to stay in a hotel near JFK, since my flight is at 7:00 the next morning, and you are supposed to be there 2 hours early. Yuck! Does anyone know if the Ramada at JFK is a nice hotel. Or are there any other ones near there?

Thanks!

after wedding hotels?

I think the Marriot in Uniondale is your best bet. It is actually a beautiful hotel. I had friends from out of state stay there last year and the rooms (regular room) was gorgeous. The Garden City Hotel is beautiful but they charge some outrageous price that to me wasnt even worth it. We havent decided where we are going to stay. We are buying a house so we might save the $$ and go back to our house (being that I wont be living there before the wedding). Check out the Marriot. Good Luck!!

after wedding hotels?

I wanted to go to the Marriott in Uniondale but they don't offer their wedding package on Sunday nights. (We would be getting married Sunday).... which I think is unfair... BUT they said I can get an executive suite... but that would be it. None of the cool wedding package things that would come if we stayed there on a Friday night or Saturday. So I thik we are going to our apartment and the next morning we'll have a nice limo take us to the airport :)

after wedding hotels?

There is a hotel right next door to Chateau Briand! If you call them I am sure they will tell you, but your guests could stumble out of the ha;ll and into the hotel and I am sure it is cheaper than the Marriott!

I'm hoping its nice. My fiance and I are staying there on our wedding night because we also have a 7am flight the day after our wedding. When is your wedding?

My fiance and I really enjoyed our pre-cana experience. Even though we know each other really well and have talked about all of the important issues, I think it was really useful to have to articulate our feelings again. We also were able to spot a few things that we needed to work on. Whether your experience is good or bad has alot to do with your attitude going in and also the other couples in your group and the group leaders.

I hope you have an enjoyable experience. Best of luck with your wedding plans, Deirdre

My wedding is in June, so it's coming up quickly. I'm hoping the Ramada even has rooms available. One of the hotels I called is completely booked. I should have known to book earlier, but there are so many other details to worry about too. I just think it makes sense to stay near the airport, so you don't have to worry about a cab not showing up, etc. If I go visit the hotel to check it out, I'll let you know how it is. Good luck!

Hi. I live in Massapequa. I went to Broadway favors for bridal shower favors for a friends shower. They have a huge selection but they werent very friendly. Maybe I caught them on a bad day. They do have a wide variety of favors so it might be worth the ride.

Has anyone gone to Broadway Favors in Massapequa??? Big selection? Is it worth a trip? Any luck?

We are going Sandals St. Lucia as well. We are going to the Golf & Spa-how about you?

Pamela that's if they decide to clean the glasswork around the place. I went to a bridal show there and didn't find it impressive at all. I guess if you like modern,it's ok. But didn't think it was more than that.

Good luck and let us know how you did.

We are going to the Golf & Resort Spa as well. I hear it's absolutely amazing! And, I'm getting married the weekend after you, so I guess I'll be heading out there, just as you're leaving. Maybe you can bring a laptop with you on your honeymoon, and post comments about the resort on this site. That way I'll know what to expect. Ha, ha...

I am very sorry to see you all go. I will continue to check this board although not as often as before. My wedding is in 2 months and I am sad that this board has turned into such a mess just when I need everyone's advice the most. As I have posted before, I have truly enjoyed many of the ladies (and gents)advice and ideas. It is sad that most of the posts on this board are now hostile.

Thank you for all you help! I am glad your weddings were successful and I'm sure we will all have fun and memorable affairs.

after wedding hotels?

I am having my reception at Carltun on the Park and they suggested the Wingate Inn in Garden City. It's a new hotel , but part of a chain. I have a number of people coming from out of town, so I am going to check it out. I will let you know what I find out

If I am wrong, please tell me where I can book my wedding for $55 per person.

I agree! I've been in catering for years and I have to say that Scarsellas is on the money for service, quality and Tee is a doll.
