next on our list is photographer. but we booked the RH 4 months ago and are too lazy to do anything else right now, haha

I think it depends on the person and the wedding. We booked the photo and video next. But if you aren't getting married at your RH I would say you should probably start looking into churches/ceremony locations. Otherwise I think it's pretty open as to what you can book next.

i would book in order of importance to you
is there a photog or DJ that you really want? if so i would book them next......
we booked in order of importance, which for us was this order:
RH Photog String Trio (For Ceremony & CH) Officiant Video
(we already have a DJ so we didnt need to 'book' them)
we still have flowers and limos, hotel blocking and all the little things....

being that you're getting married in september which is a popular month, I would suggest that you book whatever you feel is the next most important vendor to book...you want to make sure you get your favorite one before other september brides book the people you wanted to hire...

I booked my Photographer and Video 2 1/2 mths later. I have just made my decision on the DJ and I am going to book him on Tuesday. Next would be the flowers and dress. Limos are last for everyone.

Well, we booked our RH a few months ago. We just booked our DJ and are also looking for an officiant now. Work on whatever is most important to you!

I agree that you should book what's important to you.
For us it was:
church (we had our pick of times/day -- the priest said the longer you wait, the less choice you have) Photographer RH
I'll probably do DJ, flowers and then limos

Well, we already talked to the priest on the phone but sittng down in person with him is next. Most likely within the next few weeks.
