buy FH a gift? We started talking about wedding gifts and he mentioned I never got him an engagement gift. Was I supposed to????

I did buy him one.. Being I had waited so long for him to propose ... I bought him a watch engraved with 'At Last...'

I had gotten it knowing he'd eventually be proposing and gave it to him the same evening once we got home.

That was such a cute idea! FH was probably just as surprised to get the watch as you were to get the ring!

I wanted to get him something - but obviously there really isnt anything in the world that could match up to the gorgeous ring he got me.

I found out that Keith Hernandez was doing a book signing at Borders like the next weekend so I bought him the book and took him there to get it signed. I also got him shirt from ON that has like met colors on it. He loved it all

I bought FH a laptop.. it was a combo engagement/birthday gift. He had a co-worker that bought her b/f a yankees picture signed by the whole team that she planned on giving him when he proposed.... so that put the idea in FHs head that I had to buy him a gift...

well, the laptop is now mine... and he ended up paying ¼ of the bill because he wanted the 'next model up'. I ended up buying him a netbook last year for his birthday/christmas because he wanted it for school...

I think it is common to buy the FH a watch. I just ordered him one online that he has been searching everywhere to find (but it was discontinued) and i am presenting it at our e-party (which is our 1 yr engagement anniversary).
