Can you change the slip you are wearing??? I think I might want a poofyier one but i dont know if I can change it now that the dress was measured with a different slip

It depends how exact the dress ends up coming in...if they gave it a little leeway then it should be ok, but otherwise it will be too short if you make the slip bigger. I think?!?!

I tried it on when it came in and its a little long..I might be able to pull it off but I think I have to try one on first

If it came in a little bit long, I think you might be able to change the slip. Call and ask them.

I agree call the dress store....you could even ask if they could just add another layer of crinoline to the slip you already have.

I was wondering this myself....they only gave me an a-line crinoline to try on my dress, and it's a ballgown, so I wanted something fuller. I could go with lower shoes as a compromise, but I already have 2 inch heels!!! Can't get much lower!!!

I'm 5'3' and they ordered me a 55 1/2' hollow to hem. Does that sound right? I'm afraid my dress is already being made, since it's supposed to come in around mid December.

BTW the hollow to hem measurement is the measurement from your collarbone to the floor. Very important if you're not 5'7' or if the dress is too long or short on you!!

I think it depends on how exact they get it.

I had a hollow to hem and my dress came in SHORT, not by much, but it isn't touching the floor and needs to go down about 1/4-1/2'.

I would wait and see how the dress comes in before you change the slip.

My dress has been in for a few months now. My mom and I are gonna take aride out there tomorrow and try the dress on with a poofier slip in comparison to the one i have. I'll keep you all updated
