Re: Afternoon Tea
I'm going to a shower in the city at Lady Mendl's Tea Salon. They are decorating and taking care of all the details!
I know that there is another tea place in Bklyn called the Roebling Tea Room.
Sry I don't know any others in LI other than those listed.
Good luck!

I love tea rooms too!! Theres a cute place in the village Port Jefferson http://www.thesecretgardentearoom.com/home.html A nice walk to the water too. Not a huge place so it would depend on the # of people. Good luck!

I LOVE Chat Noir. Been there since they first opened about once everyother month...and I live in New Jersey! My bridal party considered it for my shower, but it was too small.

I know they servce afternoon tea at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum. It is beautiful. Not sure if they would accommodate a shower.

I am having my shower in April at the tea room at the Main Street Nursery in Huntington on 25A. They have an adorable glass gazebo where they serve the tea, finger sandwiches, scones, etc.
There is also the tea room at the Bayard Cutting Aboretum, which is lovely.
Robinson's is alright, but not very quaint-looking.

THis!
A friend of mine got married last August and her mom was going to have her shower there. The only thing was I think it only accommandated like 35 ppl. She had about 50 so we had to move the location, we were bummed. But she said it was really nice. I would definitely check into this. Its in East Islip/Oakdale area.
