My FH wants to have an age cut off at the wedding. He thinks anyone under the age of 13 should not be invited, I think this is so wrong. Is anyone else having a cut off age.

It depends on how close the child is to you. Nieces and nephews is ok with us, but we didn't invite any other children.

I think it's a personal decision, we didn't want any children at our wedding, so we said no one under 18.

i feel the same way, most of the people don't live in Long island, so for them it is hard to travel with out there kids

Unless the child is old enough to understand the meaning of having a wedding they are not invited. For us, I think that worked out to age 10.

Re: Age cut off for wedding guest
I did 18 because my family is HUUUUUUUGE. 4 were younger but they were in the bridal party. I have about 30 first cousins under 18 that live in Nassau County but I wanted an adult party and could not afford to pay for them all either.
It really depends on what you want.

Re: Age cut off for wedding guest
I wanted to invite my cousins but there were just too many. I didn't want to invite some and not others. I didn't want to start a WAR!! And yes it is so expensive and we wanted to keep it small. But I'm sure we all know that is hard.

Re: Age cut off for wedding guest
FH and i are having a similiar issue...both of us come from large families and have siblings that have small children. we figure it's an all or nothing thing---either we let them alllll bring their children (about 17 kids under the age of 14) or no one gets to bring a kid
we're still debating--but we believe it will be adults only. (18+)

Re: Age cut off for wedding guest
No one under 18, except our flower girl(9) and FH's first cousin (14). No other kids allowed, not that that's exlcuding more than like 3 people in our family's
