ah RH thoughts

Hi - Sorry this posted before I was done!

FH and I just got back from seeing 2 RHs.

So far we have seen:

Thatched Cottage
Swan Club
Sans Souci
Fox Hollow
Harbor Club

All have been really nice, but our favorites so far are the Swan Club and The Harbor Club.

The Swan Club was beautiful, and really offered a LOT for the money. my FH really likes it.

The Harbor Club was BEAUTIFUL, but definitely more money. but I just got that feeling when I was there.

Sometimes I hate that my FH can be so practical, and thinking about the money. It makes sense not to spend so much more on 1 day, but I just really loved the Harbor Club.

Anyways, I just kinda needed to vent. This weekend we are supposed to see Sunset Harbour, The Watermill and Capt Bills so I guess we will see hwat happens!

swan club has nice gardens but to us felt like a funeral home inside and the food what not that good. Not sure on the harbor club, but very pleased with the Sans Souci.
Good luck

I liked Sans Souci but it's not what FH wanted. So we have to pick a RH we both agreed on.

But if you pick them I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Check out the tasting

thanks!

Yea, I thought Sans Souci was beautiful, but it wasn't really what FH was looking for either. I kind of do want more of an outdoor area, but the view was gorgeous.

I guess we will see what happens this wkend! I just wish my favorite place was the cheapest lol.

Don't we all?

I saw Roslyn Claremont Hotel last night and fell in love.... but it's way toooo much out of our price range.

I'm happy with Chateau La Mer. If you're looking for a water front location go check it out. They really gave me the best deal for my money.

They are also renovating the upstairs room this spring.. I can't wait to see it since it is my room.

If somehow I hit the lotto or come to a large inheritance between now & then I will tell CLM I don't like the new look of the room and go to Roslyn Claremont Hotel.... or if I want to be real xrazy and I have a zillion $$..The Castle on the Hudson.

Swan Club!!!! I booked with them right away. I checked out Fox Hollow and didn't like that they were so pushy and didn't really allow me to really look at the room. Also i felt i didn't really need all that food, i have alot of picky eaters coming to my wedding so i rather have more simple choices than so many choices that can overwhelm them. The gardens at Swan Club are magnificant. I was told during the Spring there are around 70,000 tulips that come up, i'm a tulip girl so i had to have that...Good luck

my brother got married at Fox Hollow and it was beautiful. I looked at Harbor Club and thought it was really nice. I couldn't do it because I never would have made it from church to the reception
