AHHH!!! 2 DIAMONDS LOST!!!

So while at work today around 2pm I realized 2 of my baggets were missing from my E-RING!!! I have a 2ct tear drop family herilum (his side) center and 4 baggets and 4 princess cut diamonds on each side of the center stone.
I work in an out patient Physical Therapy office which is like being in Grand Central Station 10 Hrs a day!!! I just froze and my patient was like 'are you ok?' I calmly told her but with 2 minutes I completely lost it - screw being professional I'm human and a newly engaged bride to be!!! And well with insane searching (floors, BRs, garbage, laundry etc) by the entire staff and patients over a 5 hr period we came up with nothing!!! I was heart broken and so sad to have to break the news to my FH. I actually called my dad 1st and just lost it - 'how am I going to tell Brian???? I know he wont be angry at me but just OH MY GOD he put so much love into it ' And my heart was aching so much I didnt want him to feel that same pain too. But Brian was WONDERFUL!!! He calmed me down and was like ' no ones dead,sick or hurt ; I love you and we'll get it fixed' I'm (and my FH, my parents n frnds) are just pissed the jewler was so sloppy in their work. The ring is 2 months old!!! I know it happens but at the same time it just shoudnt - ya know!?!? We're gonna go back to the jewler and have them replace and fix it. AND we're def. not paying thats for sure and I'm having all the other diamonds fasten better in their settings. AHHHH what a day!!! Im exhausted and with a headache from all the crying and stress. And to think I'm only in the 1st steps of planning this wedding and it had to start like this!!!

get your ring insured just incase it happens again! GL with the jewerlers!

OMG I am so sorry that happened. I would have a HUGE issue w/ my jeweler about this!
I work in outpatient PT also and know how hectic a facility can be, but working in that environment should not cause you to be knocking your stones out of your ring. Please don't let them make you feel like you did something wrong!! Keep us posted on how things turn out! Again I am so sorry to hear this happened to you

THANKS LADIES!!! Crazy as it may seem to wait so long to get it insured but with prior plans we've had no time. Of coursr though we were actually going to go to the insur. agency today!!! I'm much better today and I know all will be good but yeah THANK GOD it wasnt the center stone!!! I told my collegues and patientts I would have shut down the office completey and made a CSI crime scene - lol!! And my coworkers joked that they would have brought me straight to JFK and sent me out of the country!!! LOL

Simialar thing happened to me. The first month I had the ring I lost a diamond, I got it fixed, the next month I had a loose diamond on the opposite side! I took it back and got a whole new ring. The jeweler said my first ring was 'high maitnence'' or 'a jewelers nightmare' I didn't want a ring I had to be careful with, so I got a new one. But if you just got it, the jeweler will fix it for you, forget the insurance, you should have a warranty period with the jewler, it's usually six months. Good luck

And I agree -get your ring insured!!!!!!!!!!

I am so sorry that this happened to you. You need to make sure that you are firm with the jeweler and don't let them turn it back on you to be your fault. This should never of happened!
