AHHH Etsy Vendor Rant!!! UPDATED

Has anyone ever had a problem with communication or lack of product delivery from Etsy? I put a 50% deposit on my invites from an Etsy vendor and the communication in the beg was great and now I'm getting NOTHING! She won't write me back at all. She gave me one round of proofs that needed a TON of corrections and she has yet to correct them or offer another proof.. I'm really upset about this!!!

******UPDATE: My FH got involved and contacted his lawyer friend to help get my deposit back. He called her left a message and the next day she gave me money back! She just wrote a quick email telling me she was busy and to have a nice day! I wanted to hit her! I gave her a deposit in AUGUST!! Well now i'm on the search again! Thnx

Did you check your spam folder?

I haven't had experience with Etsy specifically, but occasionally random stuff winds up in my spam and I always forget to check.

Sorry they're being difficult though

With the last email I asked the vendor if she could refund my deposit and call it quits; but I have not heard from her. I may be able to go through Etsy as a non-deliverable item...I really don't want to do that though.

If you used your credit card, I would dispute the charge and get it cancelled. Yeah it could have went in your spam folder but I find it odd that every single one would have. Does she have a telephone number?

I paid through PayPal. I was instructed to send an email to Etsy; which I have. She has no phone number. I spent forever trying to find these invites, I don't want to do it again! I want to cry!

Ugh, that stinks. So sorry you have to deal with this. Unfortunately, it sounds like you are going to have to file for a non-delivered item through Etsy. I had one vendor do this, but she didn't ask for any cash up front, showed me one idea and then dropped off the face of the earth. I figured I'd just drop it though since neither of us committed anything to it really.

It seems that is the case. I'm waiting on an email back from Etsy to see what is the best approach...I really just want my deposit back so I can start all over.

I would contact PayPal and say that you haven't received your product yet and would like to retract your payment as they are totally unresponsive. They might be able to help you out too!!

That is a great idea....I'm going to contact paypal. I think I should wait until I hear back from Etsy though???? I really love those invites too, I guess I could put a posting up on Etsy for the same/sort of the same invite??? Has anyone every done that?

Did you use a credit card through Paypal....if so contact your credit card.

I would definately try and get your money back. I had a very bad experience with someone on etsy and kept trusting that she would get it right after many corrections. And she didn't!! The Etsy vendor gave me my money back though..i didn't have to go to paypall

I need her to contact me in order to discuss giving me my money back; she just won't contact me! I have report into Etsy for non-delivery of items. I called paypal and they can't do anything for me. Next is my CC....I'm very upset,

How obnoxious. At least you got your money back. Why the hell didn't she just do that when you asked if it was so not a problem to hurry up and do it when FH's friend told her to? How stupid! Sorry you ha ve to start over but you'll find something even better

That really *****. I got my STDs through Etsy and the vendor was great. She also designed our monogram and will be doing the invitations. I'm sorry you had a bad experience!

I know lots of people that love ebay, but the only 2 times I used it resulted in negative experiences where I lost money. And I thought I was so careful is reading reviews and researching before choosing a seller. Sometimes you just never know what you're going to get!
