so i had my second epics tonight at 7 because the photographer i was given wasnt the one i requested and i hadnt heard bout him before so they gave me another session to get comfortable with him... i called to confirm this morning at 1130 just to be safe.. so i got my hair n makeup done and all dressed up and the fh left work early n everything we show up at 7pm and they look at me like im crazy..and like oh crap... the photographer wasnt there and had to be sent to do a wedding out of state...they said they called me but they didnt bc i had no missed calls an none at home or for the fh...make a long story short i was soo upset because we arranged everything around today...and spent alot of moeny doing a makeup trial and getting my hair done...and i had no idea it was canceled..i feel like they should have called..n if they say they did kept trying until they go someone...idk what to do...i just feel like how do i know that wont happen again..and i dont think all the steps were taking on their part and my parents who are paying are not happy at all and arent comfortable with them now..idkkkkk what woudl u girls do?

what??? they should have left voicemails on your phone and future hubbys phone. they really shouldnt have just 'let it go' but kept trying to you. i too would be very upset and would see if they can reimburse you your trial cost. that is a lot of money! where were you supposed to have the shoot?

we were supposed to do it in the studio thank god because of the rain....they said they'd give us 10 extra photo in our album..but that isnt money out of their pocket for them...and it doesn't make me feel better u know..like what if they need this guy the day of my wedding too then what? like i feel like idk if i should look somewhere else which stresses me less than 9 months away

I am sooo sorry!!!! Do you have much of a deposit with them already? I don't know if I would feel very comfortable doing business with them. Why didn't they leave messages? This just sounds horrible! I am so sorry!

eek that's horrible!!! Are you totally in love with the photographer?? If so, then I would make them give you a discount on your package, but if not, and if you;re willing to lose deposit, you may want to think about an alternative.
I would have been livid and bridezilla!! I would have made a scene lol

Wow. I would have gone apeshit. How completely unprofessional and they didn't even own the fact they screwed up. I think you need to call the owner immediately and get this figured out. Like your parents, I wouldn't be able to trust them either.

Youre not the only one to complain about them. 10 pics is unacceptable. Call them back and tell them youre thinking of going elsewhere unless they make this ok.

I would totally throw a fit. 10 pictures hardly makes up for not being there for your appointment. Why would they send the photog out of state when he has appointmets? They should have left SEVERAL messages and emails to let you know that they were not available.
How much was your deposit with them? Tell them you are going to look else where if they do not compensate you for the cost.
Its okay to be a 'bridezilla' sometimes. Really it's just standing up for yourself.

How dare they do that to my Angela!!!!!!!!!!!!! to top it all off they lie to you and said they tried calling you, how about leaving a message, tell them to take their 10 extra pics and put em where the sun don't shine!!!!!!!! How can they call what they have a business when they treat people like that!!!! I think them sending the photographer out of state to do a wedding, when they knew he had your epics doesn't make it any better either!!!!!!How much have you given them so far?

I agree with everyone-- its NOT ok!! We dont live in the stone age where pple cant leave a message or keep trying until they get someone... Plus didnt u call to confirm that morning?! Omg. You should call the owner/mgr and complain to get your $ back or some sort of reimbursement. If they refuse or give u a hard time tell them u are going to go on all the wedding websites to share your story & how bad they are... & worse case if u dont have it in you to standup to them have ur FH or father yell!! Let us kno what happens!! Good luck & im sorry this happened to u!!

thanks ladies....im liike i need to ask the girls opinion bc i felt like i cant be going crazy this just wasnt right for them to do who knows if any places still have my date this makes me soo nervous maybe ill call places to see if they do...so that i have a backup bc this whole this thing is stressing me out

ITA! You need to call the owner immediately. Like, right now at 7:20 AM. I dealt with the owner there... he will do right by you. Call him and make him reimburse you for all the money you spent!

I would think that at this point, they broke the contract and should either a. refund your deposit and rip up the contract, or b. lessen the price of your package significantly (to me, a few hundred since you all left work early, traveled there, and did hair and makeup since you now have to of this all over again (hair, makeup).
You kind of need to go bridezilla and keep telling the owner that in no way is this ok and what are they going to do for you? I mean, what if this happened on your wedding day?

Ummm who is your photographer????????? And absolutely NOT .....the person that I am (IMO ONLY) I would cancel with them....I can not stand flaky ppl or companies and there is no way I can wait a year and just think maybe they will screw up my wedding. Not me! Good Luck

personally, i'd be really hesistant to stay with them. but if you really like them and want to stay with them, i'd try to get more out of them for what happened. that was just wrong. they said they called right? if they did, and since they were cancelling, don't you think it's just common courtesy to leave you a voicemail. i dunno...it's up to you. i'm sorry this happened

I would be pissed. First i would ask for $$$ back that I spent on travel, makeup, hair, etc. Then I would ask for some sort of price break in my package or my $$ back. They should have left VMs or kept trying....very unprofessional.
