ahhh i'm so excited!!! (Billy Joel related)

soooo let me start off by saying that FH and I are huggggge Billy Joel fans, and our wedding song is one of his, 'You're My Home.'

A few months ago, FH and I were talking about Billy Joel and he revealed to me that on a whim in February, he wrote Billy Joel a letter asking him to stop by our wedding and sing our wedding song for us. I almost died because of how cute that was....but obviously Steve knew there was little to no chance of that happening, so he also included with the letter an 8x10 black and white photo from the day we got engaged, and asked Billy to sign it.

So fast forward to today (which happens to be one year exactly from the day we got engaged). I check the mail and lo and behold, there was a package with Billy Joel's return address!!!!! What are the odds it would come on the one year anniversary of FH and I's engagement?! He didnt write a letter back or anything, BUT he did sign our engagement picture AND also autographed an 8x10 picture of himself. I am so excited!!! and I cant wait to tell FH, he is gonna flip because he wanted that autograph so badly!! Unfortunately, I wont get to talk to him until tomorrow night because he is away at a training class in Oklahoma with the Army, but I cant wait to share the news with him.

Sorry that was so long, but I'm really excited!!

wow! that was really sweet of FH to do and so cool that billy joel signed everything! very exciting!!

Thats amazing! Im obsessed with Billy Joel!!! I saw him in concert and he touched my hand! And I havent washed it since!! Just kidding... but thats awesome!! Your FH deserves major brownie points!!

That is awesome. I have been a BIlly Joel fan since I was a little girl b/c my parents were big fans. I have gone to 15 of his concerts and if he decides to come around again I will be sure to be there. Point of my story is I thought about doing the same thing. I had a Billy Joel song as our first dance and I wanted to send him an invitation. My mother would ask me everyday if I sent one. My Dh at the time said 'don't bother don't you think everybody thinks of doing that?' Of course I listened to him and didn't send one. When I read your post I yelled at him and said we could have possibly gotten an autograph. You are so lucky!!Hey you never know maybe he'll show up!!
