Ahhh relief!!

Up until tonight, I was so upset. It was starting to look like we would be about 25 people under our minimum. FH's family who was so gung ho about the wedding, all of a sudden decided it was too far to travel, even though monthy 3 hr drives to AC are not a problem. Out of 60 people invited, it looks like not even 20 will show. But then, tonight we sent out a bunch of emails to remind people to book their hotel rooms since the block is expiring next week, we even sent the emails to people who hadn't responded yet. Well, FH's friends he grew up with who he totally didn't expect to come since they don't see each other often, emailed him back saying they are coming, and booking rooms! So it looks like we will only be at the most 13 people under the minimum! I am so excited! I mean it ***** being 13 people under, but it's better than 25! and I'm really happy for FH, he has a lot fo fun with them. And they are a blast at weddings!
Also, now that there's a lot less people coming than we expected, I can get the favors I wanted that were a little more $$. And, I can save a lot of money in the future, because all those people who decided LI is too far but go to AC every month, the same people who we make sure to go to every event of theirs, I will not be going to anymore of their parties ever again. So more money in my pocket!

Weddings certainly bring out the worst in people. Not you I am talking about family. You realize who the selfish people are and who doesn't really care at all. Will your vendors count as some of those that you are missing?

We didn't have a B list because everyone kind of knows each other somehow and we were afraid the blist people would find out so we just invited everyone. I'm going to call some cousin's who are coming that have kids over 16 and see if the kids want to come.
I think the vendors count as 1/2 a person, so I have 6 staying, so that's 3 extra.
I'm pretty confident the RH will do something for me. There's no way I can take home the extra meals. But still, even if we are 10 under the minimum, it still works out less expensive PP than any of the halls closer to home.

This wedding has really taught me who matters, and that some people still think that weddings aren't about the bride and groom, but rather the guests. But I don't care anymore, the people who count are coming!!
