I know I have somewhat enough time before I actually have to choose a reception hall, but I want to make sure I pick the right one, and the one that I do choose to use I want to make sure it is available for my date chosen. With that said, with the north ritz club, one of the only things I am having trouble with is the bride/groom table....I know it's a small thing but I feel like the carpet pattern on the platform does not match the pattern on the carpet on floor...Has anyone else been bothered by this, or am I being to nitpicky??????

It's probably so noticeable to u now when u go look at the room and it's completely empty. On ur wedding day, it will probably not even be on your mind or bother you. And I highly doubt your guests will notice it. I wouldn't excluce a RH based on that.

Haha, I noticed all sorts of things like that. I needed FH to reel me in or I coulda went nuts with all these minor details. Once you see enough it makes you narrow down whats impt over what you can compromise on.

We booked the North Ritz Club and to be honest we did not notice the different carpet patterns. We were actually thinking about asking them to not even use the platform because with my luck, I'll fall off or something. I agree that no one is going to notice on the day of your wedding and if you are in love with the place then I wouldn't exclude it either. Just my opinion though.

Where is Kerri?
FutureMrsCat050412 is getting married there. I'm sure she could give you a ton of info!

THIS
I'd suggest that you set up an appt to drop by before they have a wedding and that way you can see what it looks like all done up and see if you still notice the carpet.
plus, when you're looking at the RH at this point, you're being critical bc you want to make the right decision. things like this definitely take a back seat (or get thrown out of the car) once you book.
good luck!

Don't worry about the carpet. I visited our room 100 times at Jericho Terrace, had out wedding, and looked at our pictures a million times and I couldn't even tell you what color the carpet was in our room. I've NEVER noticed carpet at a wedding hall. If everything else is to your liking and you get that feeling in your stomach, then rock on and go with what you like on the NRC. I will say their food is some of the best food I've ever had at a wedding!

If it bothers you how about getting something like an aisle runner with your monogram on it and laying it out there?

I'm sure you will not even notice it the day of with everything that will be going on. And neither will your guests, they will be too busy watch you and your FH LOL
if you like the hall that much I wouldn't let something like that stop you. Unless it really is going to bother you

Re: Ahhh total confusion.....
For the record, yes, the carpeting on the platform IS different, but you can BARELY notice it....not to mention, the last thing people should be paying attention to is the carpet.
Here's a pic of the ballroom at NRC done up for my wedding. Yes, you can see the difference, but it's so minimal:

Re: Ahhh total confusion.....
You girls are absolutely right and I liked the idea from tmrc1982, who was talking about possibly removing the platform altogether...For the girls who had their weddings there, is that a possibility??? Cus that would definitely change a lot of my feelings :)

If you like NRC, book NRC. I am sure none of your guests will notice, much less care. Also, with all the excitement of the day and movement in the room you probably won't even notice!

Re: Ahhh total confusion.....
I just went to a wedding there!! I NEVER would have noticed the carpet! The whole room was so lit up and glowing with uplighting... I don't think I ever really looked down at the floor at all.
