Ahhhh - Engagement Outfit (VENT) - Pic added.

Ahhhhhhh!

So I was playing dress up with my Renaissance Faire garb in preparation for my engagement shoot this weekend...

Of course my mother sees me and comments - 'I hope you're wearing that skirt' meaning my teal, dark blue patterned skirt.

....

It wasn't my top consideration.

I LOVE the color (I look great in blue) and its a gorgeous skirt - I always get compliments. I was afraid that with the corset top I would be wearing it with, I would look to busty.

My mother was like - 'Your boobs are there, but they aren't too much.'

Gah..

Now I don't know whether to wear my black and dark forest green corset outfit that's pretty but safe - or my pretty blue skirt and hope my black corset isn't too much.

If you understand this, you speak nerd :)

I tried to take quick photos last night
. Unfortunately lighting in my room and my iPhone didn't work out - too fuzzy to see anything clearly.

I can't wear both. It's ridiculously hard to change an entire outfit at the faire. I think that's why I'm a little stressed - would love to have a way of changing outfits mid-shoot.

I say take pictures of yourself in them if you can and it really is the best way to see! Wear what you are most comfortable in, then you won't be worried about it and you will have fun

Are you taking pics at the ren faire upstate? Is it going on yet? I want to go this year!

I think you should wear whatever makes you most comfortable. I know you like the colors of the one, but it's seems you are unsure about it. I think you should wear something that you are 100% comfortable in. Otherwise your pictures may reflect it. I'd go with the black and green one.

The black and teal sound like a nice color combo but like everyone says, go with what you are more comfy in. It will reflect in the pics. I was a lil uncomfy in the beginning of the shoot and you can tell. I love all my pics toward the middle/end bc that's when I was super comfy and it showed.

I agree with this..discomfort will reflect in photos!

It runs through mid-September.

We're going up this Saturday to take e-pics and celebrate a friend's birthday, then going back with a huge crowd of friends Sept. 1 for the fantasy weekend.

Thinking about this today, I will probably go with the blue skirted outfit, I LOVE the color, the material of the skirt and if my mother said it was 'okay' for family and friends - she's probably right.
