Ahhhhhhhhhh, is anyone nervous about having too many people?

Original post by glinda_goodwitch

Our guest list got a bit out of hand and there's no cutting the list now that STDs have been sent. I hope hope hope for that 20-25% decline rate, and more on the 25% end. I know we'll definitely make our min of 100 since we're inviting 182 . I looked at the yes-no response thread, but I'm going to be worried until the last rsvp is in and I haven't even sent out my invites yet!

What brought this nervousness up? I called JT and there are no other available rooms to switch into in the event that too many people come!

I worried soooo much...drove everyone crazy, called Mike at JT twice a week to vent...and it worked out fine. It always tends to.

I had a really high decline rate since most of my guests were from OOT and even though I sent out STD's and emails all the time (was engaged for almost 5 years ) a lot of people didn't make it.

So try not to worry!!

Also, I know you don't want to do more than 11 people per table, but I have to say that some of my tables had 12 guests (couldn't break up some families) and there was plenty of room!! These are oblong tables, not regular round ones, and 12 is a very comfortable number. Don't rule it out.

Oh, I'm just worried about people's seats being on the dance floor.
