They are doing god-knows-what to the roof of my building...for 2 weeks now...it's the 2nd day of classes with non stop students in and out and it sounds like I have 4 bulldozers, 27 men and 2 elephants, and a pink flamingo (for good measure) on my roof...I am going to lose my mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And all my freshman look so homesick, I am going to end up adopting them and that would be VERY bad....

I feel your pain. I work at a Construction Steel Company where they do all the work downstair. I constantly hear banging and things falling. I almost ran out a dozen times on my first day because I thought the building was falling.

Trust me you get used to it after a while. I miss it sometimes when it gets too quiet belive it or not. Hopefully they will be done pretty soon so you dont have to hear it anymore. Just zone it out.
