Airbrush make-up for summer brides

Airbrush make-up for summer brides

My wedding is in August and I have very oily skin. I originally had opted for airbrush make-up because I have read many brides rave about it , however, I have been advised by two different make-up artist to consider the 'regular ' application instead
According to them, airbrush application does not 'hold-up' so good during the summer and it tends to 'cake-up' if you spend a considerable amount of time outside. The fact that I have oily skin won't help matters either I expect to be outside about four hours (photos and cocktail hour is outside).

I would like to know if there are any other past or present summer brides that had the same problem.

Did your make-up 'cake-up'? How did it 'hold-up'? If you have known better, would you have opted for a 'regular' aplication instead? Any advice is really appreciated!!1

I did airbrush for our summer photo session. It stayed on all day. I didn't have any problems.
I would not have wanted to do anything differently.

I have really oily skin too and opted for airbrush make-up for my Summer wedding last year and it help up INCREDIBLY well.

It lasted all day, was light and never caked up. I would recommend it.

Ditto to what the other brides said. My skin is oily, especially in the summer, and it held up perfectly for my july wedding, and it got pretty hot in the middle of the day! I was def. hot from dancing all night, but in my pics you would never know it! Go for it, I do not think you will be disappointed!

I tanned before my wedding, and all I had was some touch up since my skin was already tan and pretty even. The bronzer helped and I think she used a mineral makeup to even the rest out where needed. Hope that helps

If I remember correctly it was almost 90 degrees and humid my wedding day...i had the airburshing done, I too have oily skin and it stayed ALL day, didnt sweat off, didnt rub off-have a trial and see what you think-worst that happens is you go with regular makeup instead

my entire wedding was outside in June...i got airbrush & it lasted all day...and even saved my face from getting sunburned because of the SPF in it...my shoulders got burnt from taking pics on the beach but not my face...i LOVED airbrush..it made my crappy skin look great...if you check out my trial pics you can see it also lasted all day then...even through a sweaty Tae Kwon Do class! good luck!

Not yet : ) My trial will be on August 2nd the same day as my bachelorette party ...YAY!!! I will post photos I figure that is the perfect day because I will be out all day and I will really see how it wears I already have the make-up artist booked. She has done my 'regular' make-up once before and I like her. I will be getting my hair color and do hair trial on the same day at the same place.

Well what a good time to do a trial. However if you hate it - than you will hate how you look all day

.. lots argue the point with me in prior threads but if you have sun spots or any blemishes it the makeup will darken those areas or cake up around it.
I Was NOT a candidate for it.

GL Hope it works out

You are right about if I hate it, but after a couple of drinks I won't probably care anyway Then I can go during the week (make-up artist is 20 blocks from my home) and do the regular make-up trial.

I already had a consultation with the make-up artist and fortunately I am a candidate. I don't have blemishes or dark areas, but will see what happens.

Thank you for your well wishes
