Airline flight question

Airline flight question

ok, FH and i are still trying to make honeymoon plans, and as ive mentioned before, he does NOT like to fly

ok so the question is this
while searching for the shortest possible flights, some say
1 stop
and some say
connect in.....

whats the difference?

im thinking that stop means you dont have to get off, but some people may be getting off at that city and connect means you HAVE to get off and get on another plane??

anyone know??

thanks ladies

usually connect in means to get off and connect onto the other flight. and 1 stop means ur stop there and people get off and u stay there(on the plane while others board & get off)... i'm pretty sure

hope this helps ya!

yeah, cause when i had to go to hawaii it was a 'connecting' flight, but when i flew to florida once, it was a 'stop' and they were both what it means. lol.

One stop means non-stop to your destination.

Connect means get off the plane and go to diff terminal for another connecting flight.

I don't think one stop means non-stop.....

Honestly Laura, I thought 1 stop and connecting were the same!

But if I had to guess I'd say that connecting flight you actually get OFF the plane....

my mom has worked for an airline for forever so I can tell you most of the airline lingo

Yes that is how it is. usually connect in means to get off and connect onto the other flight. and 1 stop means ur stop there and people get off and u stay there

sometimes if there is a connection though (depending on the planes destination) you do stay on the plane but most of the time you switch

I think this is correct as well...I have been on both and the 1 stop is so much easier bc you dont have to rush and get to another terminal or worry about missing connections.

good luck!

Re: Airline flight question

it usually means the same thing..ever since i moved to kansas every flight has a connection out of here

1 stop means only one airport between destinations and connection means you stop in 1 airport as well

when you have a flight where you dont have to get off the plane..but some people do..it will list it as a direct flight

i found this out when i flew to NY in february

i had seen a flight that said wichita to LGA direct..and i thought..that can not be

and it was infact..the plane stopped in atlanta and we did not get off..and then we went on to fly to LGA

so either way..you will stop and connect if it lists another airport

its very easy and not at all as hard as it seems

its actually the only way i prefer to travel now..

i fly quite a bit ( about 15-20 times a year) and its fun..you get to see cool places and just have a good time

plus in the atlanta airport they have smoking rooms so the wait is not that bad
