I need to buy plane tickets to Florida for mid march, however, everything is just so expensive. I can't find a flight for less than $300. I haven't traveled in a while so is that a good price?? It seems very high to me. Anyone know a website or agent that I could go to to get really cheap tickets?? I really need to book this before I go off on my honeymoon, but the prices are just so high right now. My aunt told me that the prices usually go down the closer you get to the date, is that true?? And I was also told that the time I am going, March 12-14th is spring break. Is It?? Then I know I won't get a cheap ticket. Thanks for the help!!

I would try Orbitz, Jet Blue & Spirit. We have excellent fares for our May trip to Florida on spirit - less then 300 for both of us.

I am going to Miami Friday and my plane was $185 but we booked it a few months ago. I used Libery Travel in Levitown.

we just flew down there for under 200 on Song (Delta's new airline). Definitely look on expedia and orbitz .. that's where we found ours. 300 is way too much.

Unfortunately if it's spring break that will explain the higher prices. Try Southwest and Jetblue-you have to go to their websites because they don't participate in search engines. Also try orbitz, travelocity and expedia because the other airlines can surprise you.

I don't know where in FL you're going but Spirit has fares of $233 to Orlando on Travelocity for the dates you need.
