I want to decorate my church aisle with hanging tulle that blocks off the pews. If I decorate it this way how will people get communion? Does soemone take the tulle down or do people go through the sides of the church? I've attached a picture from JMJ Bride's wedding so you have an idea of the look I'm talking about
I asked the florist about this. H only recommends it for wedding a wedding ceremony but not for a mass. He said people are supposed to go out on the other side but some try to step over it and it falls down then the pictures for walking down the aisle are a mess. He suggested bows with flowers are every other pew the whole way down the church. I still think the tulle is so pretty but I would be nervous if people stepped on it and it all got pulled down.

Re: Aisle decorating question
That is really pretty. But if you are having a full mass, it might not be do-able since people have to get out on that side for communion and they might trip or pull the decorations.
You should ask your church.

Re: Aisle decorating question
My church allowed me to decorate how I wanted. My florist set the church up and did the clean up after the ceremony. You should talk with the Church and your florist. As for communion, people cam up from the sides but it was mainly the bridal party and the immediate family, we did not give communion to everyone.

this looks gorgeous but i think it would only really work if it was a ceremony.. without communion...
