Do you use real or silk petals for the aisle? I was considering telling my florist i wanted real but then i am thinking will that be a waste and just buy the silk ones from michaels??

I had real- my florist didn't charge us though, he said I could have rose petals everywhere for no charge! My RH did restrict us on what color though b/c we were using their runner (no red-it stains).

Oriental Trading has nice sized bags of silk rose petals in a whole for under $5 each...I think its worth it to use silk rather than real.

I guess I will ask my florist but if they aren't going to 'throw it in' for me then I will just use the silk ones it is really only for 20 minutes right...

We had real ones. The florist gave us 4 free bags of petals for the FGs, petal cones, unity candle table, tables during cocktail hour.

I used real ones. My florist set everything up at the church including the petals. The aisle was so long the florist said he needed to use a big box of petals. I don't remember the price but I remember thinking that It probably would have cost me more to buy silk petals plus who would set it up for you? Here is a pic of the aisle.

i have to be honest....my friend used the real ones this past summer and the scent was AMAZING! i'm totally splurging on the real ones!

If you're getting married in a church the alter boys can clean up. For me, either the alter boys left because I was so late or the priest forgot to get alter boys for us, so the groomsmen swept them up. It took them around 5 mins to clean up.

My limo company supplies the aisle runner. So if I wanted to have rose petals when would they put them down and who would put them down. Do I just get my own aisle runner and then its all done before anyone arrives at the church? I am so confused!
