Aisle Runner

Although I'm still tackling my first DIY project, which is my card box, I am thinking of doing an Aisle runner as my second project. Anyone care to ellaborate on how you get that teeeenie tiny monogram onto a big humungous runner?? LOL Does anyone have a step by step??
