aisle runner opinion

i've heard mixed things about runners for the church. photographers mention that your dress doesn't show up as well in photos. I really don't need anything to trip on either. what's everyone opinions?

I am such a clutz that I am afraid that I would trip on it. No runner here! =)

We used one and it was such a nice touch. My dress showed up beautifully. Use one if you want it. Plus, if it is drawn out correctly there isn't anything to trip on. I didn't even know mine was there. Have fun!

It was fine for walking and for pics

Just make sure they get the right length for your church aisle. It was never a thought as I walked down and there was no problem with the dress in pictures. It looks really nice.

2 things you should make sure. Whoever lays the runner down should know what they're doing. One wedding I attended didn't have the runner secure and by the time the bride walked down the aisle it was all torn. I wasn't a pretty sight in the pictures. Also, make sure you measure the length of the aisle. The runner may not be long enough if you have a long aisle and that too isn't very pretty in pictures. I myself won't be having one but it's really up to you.

aisle runner opinion-another thought about the length

My aisle was 150 feet which I guess is a longer than average length. The priest said that based on his experience, it's best to not let them tape two 75 foot runners down but to be sure they supplied a 150 foot one. It makes a big difference in the visual and the tripping factor.
