I am having an outdoor ceremony. Is a aisle runner needed or should I just use rose petals.
TIA

You RH may provide a simple white one.

Make sure you are allowed to have a runner.... alot of churchs do not allow it!! Some halls as well!!

Re: ****Aisle Runner Question***
I could have one but my church does not supply it. It is my childhood church and I think it may feel odd if I don't see the red carpet and feel it like I usually do under my feet.
But my MIL to be says that they are usually there to keep your dress clean. ?? Should I specially request for the carpet to be clean or just get one to make the day clean and extra special?

My church doesn't allow aisle runners at all which stinks.

We have an outdoor ceremony as well and I am DIYing mine!!! I bought it @ Michaels for 14$. It's one of my summer projects - I can't wait... if you are interested in doing this, check out the DIY board- it looks time consuming but completely worth it!

Re: ****Aisle Runner Question***
If the ceremony is outside, I would guess its not at a Church
The only problem I've seen personally with aisle runners for outdoor ceremonies is that the sometimes blow around and get twisted ... so if you're going to have one, make sure you have it tacked down well.

Re: ****Aisle Runner Question***
I would have the aisle runner with rose petals and make sure the aisle runner is held down by something. i love the look

Re: ****Aisle Runner Question***
I have seen it both ways.
it looks pretty with just rose petals and without the runner. I may do that. I'm having an outdoor ceremony if the weather holds up.
