Aisle Runners (Did You Know)

Original post by yelley77

Hey girls. I'm working on my ceremony (this book I got is FABULOUS) and it is so helpful.

Anyway, did you know that in ancient times, evil spirits were believed to lurk beneath the floorboards of the church. The aisle runner (a roll of white fabric) was believed to protect the couple from those spirits. It also symbolizes the Bride's purity ( )

I just thought that was interesting and wanted to share!!

Im forgoing the white aisle runner - the aisle in my church has a red runner built in the carpet

Guess id rather have my own red carpet - then show my purity
