Alaska Cruise Anyone?

We are planning on taking an Alaskan cruise in June. Any recommendations on cruise lines, things to do etc.
Thanks

My friend's Mom just booked her trip (I think for June, too). I can find out what line she's cruising, if you would like

Thanks Claud
I am sort afraid that it is really a 'retiree thing'.

Right now it looks like we may have a good size group 12 - 16 people going so we would be our own group. But you know how that goes everyone is interested until they have to be serious about it.

Fran I went gosh about 7 years ago on Holland America. It is sooooo beautiful and yes there were tons and tons of retirees. If you are goin with a big group that you will proably be ok. Just make sure they know you want to sit together at meals, so you don't get stuck at a retiree table.

It is so beautiful though...breath taking!

We went 2 1/2 years ago on Princess and it was great. It was a mixed crowd, definitely not all retirees. All different ages. However, unlike alot of cruises, Alaskan cruises dont have as much nightlife. I mean, they have shows and late dinners and all but it wasnt a clubbing till 3am kind of cruise. I think most people were pooped out from all the amazing stuff there is to do during the day. There's a certain kind of energy that you get from the crowd on a trip to Alaska that I've never experienced before. I think, like us, people are just blown away by how awesome a place it really is. Excursions are expensive, but in Alaska they are so worth it. Let me know if you want more info.
