ALBUM GTG...

I don't have my album, am I not invited??

I did put my proofs in albums, does that count?

I don't have my album yet either. I'm a slacker.

But, I could recreate the day. I'll get the wedding cake. I'm sure Mike will get back in a tux and marry me all over again.

We can all dance around in our dresses to the sounds of everyone's videos.

Ladies, if you want to do GTG, I would love to host it. Even before this thread I was considering asking if anyone was interested in some sort of Valentine's Day theme GTG at my house, but not actually on V-day.

I have the TV that we won at WOTY. Here is what I was thinking: it could take all day or night to see albums and videos and not everyone has both. Sooooo, each guest gets to decide whether to showcase (or show OFF!!) either her album or her video, but not the full video.

What do you think? The GTG would be in the Commack/Smithtown area.

Kerie- I would LOVE to do this!!!!! And February is great. I'll bring my 400 page album of non-pro pictures since I have nothing official yet from my vendors, although I do have my FILs wedding video to show off (and that has some juicy footage of some LIW girls!). hehehehe Ah, choices in life!!!

But, I'm so on board with this, so just name the date and time, and I will be there!

So, do we want a weekend or weeknight GTG? If on the weekend, afternoon or evening? Will this be ladies only? I just assume that guys will not want to go to a 'show your video or pictures' GTG.

I say Friday night or Saturday night - started around 4/5pm, so we all have enough time to talk, watch, laugh, giggle, etc without being booted from seats like at a restaurant, etc.

And no guys....they'll never understand!

Either is good for me and oh god no my guy would never want to sit around and look at other people wedding photos and videos.. he doesn't even want to look at ours anymore!

2 ideas:

1. marathon GTG at my house. I'll get some trays of food, munchies, drinks.

2. A Friday night GTG, right after work at a place close to my house ( I have 2 ideas). Then we all go to my house for the video GTG. We'll still have some munchies and drinks.

I am starting to like idea #2 b/c:
--anyone who has never met me before can meet us at dinner first and not feel weird coming to a stranger's house.
--we get to do our chit chat over dinner first
--anyone who works late can just meet us at my house. I'll give directions.
--anyone who does not want to stay to see videos can still come to a GTG for the dinner
--it's all about me and it easier for me to prepare for an after dinner thing.

I like option 2 - just make it affordable dinner - I'll be on a meager monthly allowance for food since we'll be paying mortgage costs and rent costs during that time.
