Album Help

Hi Ladies...

'07er here trying to pick out my photos for my album... it's realyl hard trying to go through 800 proofs...

Did you all have any sort of system to narrow them down? categories? ways to sort? i need to get this done...

FYI: I don't have a disc, so it's proofs everywhere!

Re: Album Help

I made 3 piles.
Love, Like, Not using
Then I went through all the Love ones and decided which ones needed to be in the album, and which ones didn't. Then went through the Like pile and decided which ones of those should go in.
I had 1500 proofs, and 350 in my love pile (and a book that would accomodate 100 pictures). I ended up with about 80 from my love pile and the rest didn't go in becasue they were too similar to other ones.
It worked out well.
Good Luck!

Re: Album Help

I had my proofs in albums by time of day....from there I picked out the 1 photo of the 5 same pose we liked.

I gradually kept narrowing it down more & more. The album should tell a story

Also once it is fairly narrowed down, take a day or 2 away from it & then go back & relook at all your pics.

This is basucally what I did. I used the photo box they gave me and arranged the proofs into chronological chapters - getting ready, formals, ceremony, etc. I marked my favorites, and kept narrowing it down until it told a story, and there was a good representation of pics.

I found leaving it alone for a couple of days/weeks really helped. After a while, you get less attached, and are able to make better decisions.

I put mine in order and then into albums. I tagged them with little colored post-its. Everyone parent had a different color as well, to make it easier.

It was a very good system.
