OK, this might be a silly question, but here it goes: I am FINALLY getting my album from my photographer (a year and 3 mos after my wedding) and I was wondering if I am supposed to tip him or anything when I go pick it up?? I'm not really annoyed that it took so long because honestly I was slow in picking my pics for it to begin with, but I definitely would not say that my photographer experience post-wedding was anything special nor did I feel like I received above and beyond service. We have already paid everything in full, so basically I was planning on just showing up, looking it over and leaving. Is that what most people do? I just don't want to be rude, you know? Thanks for your help!

Re: Album Question
Did you tip him at all during the wedding?

Re: Album Question
No we didn't...sorry - detail I forgot to mention. So we prob should, huh? He owns the business so he's prob getting a decent amount of what we paid, but maybe that's not for me to decide?

Re: Album Question
I think it's really up to you. I know sometimes if people own the business you don't have to tip as much. It seems at this point he might not even remember. You could always just tip a smaller amount since it has been so long, put it in an envelope and run!

Re: Album Question
IMHO I don't think you should tip him...because the definition of a tip is 'gratitude for service above and beyond.' You didn't think they went above and beyond for you, plus he owns the business, so I don't think it's necessary...if they did go above and beyond, it would be a different story...sorry JMHO. I don't like to think that you ever 'have' to tip because if it is expected, it's not a tip anymore...it is an additional charge.
