alcohol on cruises

I know this sounds totally cheap, but has anyone brought there own alcohol on cruise. I am sailing on Royal Carribean and trying o cut corners so that this does not have to be my only summer trip

We tried to on the way back from Mexico but they held onto it for the rest of the cruise,they wanted our money spent on their alcohol This was Carnival Cruise Line though

You are not allowed to bring anything alcoholic on board. We cruised on RCCL for our honeymoon and even for soda you have to buy it

One cruise I went on took it away if it was found and returned it to you at the end of your trip.

We brought some on another and had no problem but we hid it in water and soda bottles - we were a little younger and going in a group so we wanted so early night cocktails at a cheaper price - hey it worked.

you can try sneaking it on with your luggage. my cousin did that last year and she got it through. just wrap it tightly and seal it so if god-forbid it breaks it won't go everywhere. however, if they find it - they will take it.

From what I have read, you can usually bring a bottle or 2 of wine or champaine and if you want it with dinner they sometimes charge a corkage fee. When I went on a carnival cruise, we bought alcohol at a port, and they took it when we got back on board, but returned it the 2nd to last day of the cruise so we still got to enjoy it!.....I think you might also be able to sneak some in your luggage if it is discreet..........

we are going on a cruise in November and were thinking the same thing. I think we are going to try and put champagne/wine bottles in our luggage.

It must depend on the cruise line. When we went to Bermuda last year, we were allowed to bring two bottles of alcohol. We did, but then we didn't even drink them.
