oh, i don't know deb... i've promised myself not to discuss politics with anyone besides sophia (my dog).

but i am more than willing to engage in a detailed discussion about flowers.

i'm a huge fan of branching flowers, but also ADORE peonies and ranunculus. i can live without roses.

Someone posted a bouquet of ranunculus and I am now obsessed -- are they available in multiple colors?
Also, your cherry blossoms are so elegant -- FI and I go to DC to see them each year. So elegant.

the ranunculus actually come in all colors. the lighter-colored ones have green centers, and they are BEYOND gorgeous. i am going to use cream ones in my bouquet, and the groomsmen will have pale pink ones...

do you have any ideas yet about what you might be using?

well, the rumor is that when you reach 1,000 posts, LIW sends you a t-shirt!!! i have never eyes on such a shirt, but many on this board report that it does in fact exist... i have been on it's trail for quite some time now...

ranunculus - I was going to use them also. What season do they bloom in. I guess if you are getting married in may, they are a spring flower.

the official season is june through august, but john (flower michele) said may would be okay...

None -- there is a floral and lighting designer for the space-so it gets coordinated -- the 'blank slate phenomenon.'

I am obsesed with this particluar type of flower as well - that picture shows them in more colors than i have been able to find!

Deb: What season are these in bloom? Tell me they peek around June 11th?

alexlynn: I am a fellow peony obsessed bride - it was my first love (then came the raunaculous then lily of the valley...)
