ALL ABOUT CAKE

the only show fh loves to watch regarding wedding stuff are cake shows...he thinks what these people create are so cool

That cake was crazy!!!! I looked into pricing for FH's grooms cake, and let me tell you, the minimum price that they start at is $1000!! They will not make a cake if its cheaper than that, can you imagine!!!!!

amazing!!!!!!!!! did u see the zombie head cake...that was fh's favortite...but i told him i thought it was too morbid for the wedding.

i also saw that cake!! i love that show, i watch it all the time. last nights new episode was good. they did a nice thing. a women was only able to afford a small grooms cake but they gave her double for the same price. i called them to get FH a cake for the rehersal dinner & they will only deliver a certain price cake to new york.

Has anyone looked into baking schools to see what their rates are?

I love watching to Food Network cake challenges!! Soo awesome... I don't know if I would spend that much on a groom's cake. Thankfully the cake is included in the RH so it's one less thing I have to shop around for.

my best friend is a pastry chef, when she moves back home and gets a job I will be asking her for all her ideas and connections and stuff...

A bunch of other places i looked at wanted anywhere from 700-1200 for a 40 person cake...Ummmm thats alot of money for cake if you ask me...

Agreed! That is waaay too much!
My RH is providing the cake in the price, but I wanted to get FH something special also - NOT if it costs that much - he would never appreciate it if he ever found out the price.
