ALL brides esp Sandcastle

I'm getting married at the Sandcastle on labor day of this year. The church I want to use is 9 minutes way from sandcastle according to mapquest. Do you think it will be okay with traffic esp since people may be going to jones beach . I wanted to take pics at garden city gazebo as well. My other option would be to have the ceremony in the garden at sandcastle (whether permitting) and take pics there as well. By the way the ceremony if at sandcastle would start 5:30pm and and 4pm if it's at the church

I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you wondering if you'll have enough time between your ceremony at a church and the CH?

What church would it be? Full mass or just a ceremony? What time does CH start?

sorry. I want to know how the traffic is in long island on labor day with everyone wanting to go to the beach before summer is over. My father really wants me to get married at the church ( St. Georges Episcopal Church) but I'm afraid of the traffic.

CH starts at 6pm and I think it's just the ceremony

Well I think if you have the ceremony at the church, you might want to go right over to the Sandcastle instead of stopping somewhere. Figure if the church starts at 4, you'll get out of there around 5ish (after pics and all) and then a good 15 minutes or so for travel. I don't think you'll have to worry too much about traffic though, b/c you're not traveling that far and you can take all side streets.

Besides, you definitely won't have to worry about traffic towards Jones Beach because you'll be heading in the opposite direction.

i wouldnt be to concerned.....but i would definately print out directions that use side streets rather than the parkway just to be safe.....if your not on the parkway theres gonna be no problem with traffic

as for stopping at the gazebo, pictures there will most likely take 30-45 mins....so i would say you'll probobly be a little late for your cocktail hr....but you can always play it by ear and see how fast you get done with church and whatnot
