JUst wondering, since the Greek churches are already so beautiful and art work everywhere, are you getting flowers for the church? Im in the process of booking our florist and one of the things is the flower baskets for the alter of the church, I was just thinking....do I really need them?? ANy opinions would be great!
i honestly think its a waste of $.I 'd rather put that money twds something more memorable @ the RH. What church are you getting married at?
its not something you MUST do...Its really up to you and if you feel its a waste then dont get it, dont let anyone make you feel you have to get it. When i booked my florist in the beginning of the process, i got all the church decorations and its funny bc i came on here and posted about church flowers and most arent/didn't even do it. Sometimes we feel its something that we just have to do but in reality its your day, do what you feel is best
we had two white arrangements in the front by the alter and then silk pew drapes in the first 5 rows and that was it.... we felt it would be too much to add more details
I am getting Married in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Hicksville. My Mom in law really wanted church flowers. I got two baskets that are like waist high. There only $75- each. I say go for it!!
I didn't order any flowers for the church I might consider doing something but I really would have to check the budget
we are just having two stands with white flowers on either side of the alter.... other than that, nothing bc like others have said, the church is beautiful in and of itself, less is more!
I don't know yet, I'm going this weekend to the Wedding Seminar at our church so I am hoping I'll get an idea then if I think we'll need them or not. Flowers is my next thing to work on, got to get busy planning...
I am not--I think that the Church is beautiful and ornate enough. I don't want to take away from it--but it is up to you. Do you think it will be too much?

I am getting married at St Pauls Cathedral in HEmpstead. As of this second I am doing nothing in the Church. I think pew bows dress it up a bit.. My fmil wants me to do flowers in the church so I might do two alter baskets of flowers whcih later are brought into the RH. I might.
What church are you getting married at.
Im getting married at St. Demetrois in Merrick, I just think it might take away, and they are going have to be waaaay over b/c of the part when FH and I walk around 3 times, Itll also save some money, but Im still torn....
