Re: All Inclusive Help

We did Punta Cana all inclusive and stayed at the Secrets Excellence Resort.. My friends stayed at Paradisus.. All I can tell you is that it's the best place I've ever been.. We're actually trying to book someone for our 1 year anniv. there.. The best part is that it's soo inexepsnive and you don't need like any pocket money down there b.c everything is included..

In DR I would recommend the Iberostars - I have been to the one in Punta Cana and in Puerta Plata. While both were good I like the Iberostar Bavaro better. The one in PP was a little older. But I saw they just opened one in La Romana (there is also one in Santo Domingo) and that looks great - I am looking for an all inclusive vacation as well and if I hadn't been to DR twice I would have went there in a second. I also hear great things about Secrets. I have heard pretty good reviews from friends who stayed at the Barcelo - but I think you the best one is the Palace? and the others are ok.

Are you intersted in Mexico? I went to the Adventura Spa Palace last year and it was great - in the Mayan Riviera section (hour outside Cancun). Mo co-worker who went to Secrets at the same time as last year - saw my pictures from the resort and said they look similar. Also the Iberostars in Cozumel and I can't remeber where the other is right now - but I know people who went to both and they are suppose to be terrific!

This is my favorite DR site for reviews -

There is a sister site to this for the Carribean - there should be a link of that site.

Aruba does have a couple different all-inclusives. We always stay at the Allegro (which is actually called Occidental Grand Allegro Resort.)

I know this wasnt your choice but a few years ago we went to Breezes in Bahamas. It was all inclusive and very inexpensive. All you can eat and drink (virgin drinks for you) and activites 24 hours a day.
I think we paid about $1000 each including airfare for a week. Again this was about 3 yrs ago.

Thanks for the help
An all inclusive in Aruba wouldn't work for us because there are too many great restaurants that we wouldn't have the willpower to stay away from!!!!

I am going to check out the places you ladies mentioned and if anyone else has anymore please throw them into the mix!!!

If you are interested in Mexico at all, Moon palace was AWESOME!!! We went or our honeymoon, got back a few weeks ago, we LOVED it!!! The resort alone has ten restaurants, if tahts not enough, you can hop on their free shuttle to take you to any of their other palace resorts and you can hang out there for free, its already included. You can go to spa palace , beach palace, cancun palace, X pu ha palace..its all in yoru very inexpensive price, its 30 minutes from Playa Del carmen, which is BEAUTIFUL and 20 minutes from cancun, which we werent thrilled with, ( too americanzed)...but at moon palace alone, the pools go for miles, ( seriously) and the beach is right there, we went parasiling right off the pier, they have show every night, tours that are included, a disco, the rooms all come iwth a hot tub, they are beautiful rooms. If you need any info, FM me.Ill be back on monday!
