Finally My FH and I agreed to our guestlist and venue however I just want to be realistic with our budget for our honeymoon.
Is a 7day Sandals package/ all inclusive package feasible with $2500-3000k ( flight and hotel)?

Re: All Inclusive Honeymoon for 7days...
If you guys are open to new ideas, you should definitely consider cruising. Your liquor is not included, but you could get 7 night cruises in November for like $600 pp and all you pay for is alcohol, gratuity and then any kind of excursion you do when you're at a destination (e.g. if you go to puerto rico, you can ride atvs through the rainforest). not sure if you just want something romantic, or a little more fun/dangerous, but just a thought!

Re: All Inclusive Honeymoon for 7days...
I guess it would depend where you are going and the type of room you're staying in. St. Lucia for 7 days is 4300 for our room, which is the penthouse honeymoon room, not the rondoval I really wanted which was like 14,000 And the flight came out to 1,050 and that's for both of us round trip. So I guess around 5-6K.

yes...the st lucia all inclusive honeymoons seem a little higher, but there might be cheaper sandals elsewhere..if i were you i'd just price it out either on like expedia.com or call a travel agent and just have her run some numbers for you- that way you know if you're in the right ballpark!

I think that's a reasonable budget - Have you considered Aruba?

Go online to expedia, orbitz, bookit.com.....they will give you a good estimate. IMO the best deals are in Jamaica and Mexico.

Mexico has beautiful all inclusive hotels!! FH and I went to Sun Palace in Jan 09 and it was gorgeous. It's located in Cancun, is adults only, and all inclusive. It was our favorite vacation to date!

For that price range (depending on whether you go in or off season), you could probably get a 7 day all inclusive at Dominican Republic, Jamiaca, Mexico, or Costa Rica for that price. Those are the places you get a lot more for your money.

It really depends on the room, but I think that might be a little on the low side. Also, November is high season for Caribbean hotels ( assuming you leave right after the wedding). I was actually looking at Sandals for a vacation this coming November, and I remember it being $3200 for 7 days in a standard room.

YES FH & I went to Jamaica and stayed 3 nights at Sandals Grande ocho rios and 3 nights at Sandals Montego Bay to get to see a but of each country-With our flights we probably paid around $3K. It's totally doable. (we went in july-07) but they're having major sales-always do...where you can get 60% off rooms. I love sandals-you don't have to worry about spending ANY money once you get to the resort.
Cruising is fun; but everything is extra-we went on Freedom of the Seas this past november for 7 nights and spend $1200 for the cruise; another $300 for airfare; but spent a lot of money on drinks (even though we snuck some booze on) and spent a lot on tours in each island. wasn't as relaxing as our land only vacations.

depends on the resort-you can definetely find deals with in the $3k range. jamaica isn't as pricey as st lucia or their bahamas properties...

Re: All Inclusive Honeymoon for 7days...
Look into excellence resorts too.
If you wanted to cruise you could always take a ship from NY or NJ that way you wouldnt need to pay for air tix. The only extras you pay for are drinks, some restaurants, & activities. Ive gone on many cruises the most Ive ever spent out of pocket was $900 (spa treatments, horseback riding, ect), the least $200 (this was during 7day trips). When I cruise I dont usually do activities I just enjoy what the ship has to offer & the beaches at the ports.

Re: All Inclusive Honeymoon for 7days...
You can def. go to Jamaica sandals for that price. We went to ocho rios last march and FH paid maybe $2800 for 6 nights 7 days. He cannot remember if that was with the airfare too. We are going back to Jamaica for our honeymoon in February. We are just getting screwed all around because it goes into winter break LOL. I really wanted negril, but it was almost 9k so we are going to montego bay which I'm fine with

I think $4000 is definitely doable and alot more realistic.

Which resort are you planning to go to? I went to Sandals Antigua last July. For FH and I with hotel room(on the new Mediterranean Side) and airfare, we paid $5,300. It's well worth it though. The rates may be cheaper when you book because it's not during the summer.

Try Sandals Negril or Montego Bay. I have stayed there for about 3200 with airfare and hotel. Keep checking online and check with several travel agents.

Look into the Excellence resorts! They are adults only and geared towards HMers!!! We went to Excellence Playa Mujeres for our HM and it was incredible!! Its all inclusive and the food and drinks were fantastic!!!We are looking into going to the Excellence in Punta Cana for our 1 year anniversary!
