Original post by chris&jen

Since it is going to be hurricane season, FH and I are thinking of Aruba for our Honeymoon. Any recommendations for an all inclusive resort on Aruba? TIA

Re: All Inclusive in Aruba?

I actually just went to Aruba last month on my Honeymoon. I wished i would've listened to the Liw girl who told me not to go all inclusive. I stayed at the Riu and my husband and i both hated it. Don't get me wrong the hotel is beautiful and the rooms are pretty nice , but the food was terrible . The first few nights dh and i were both sick . Fighting for the bathroom on your honeymoon is not very romantic.
In one of the restaurants there were actually flies all over the food and no one seemed to care . You have to wake up very early to make resevations for the specialty restaurants, otherwise you'll be stuck eating at the crappy buffet.
Please do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else . There are so many great places to eat in aruba it would probably cost the same to eat out anyway. Hth goodluck!

Where did you stay!!!!

OH NOOOO - ya see, this is why i am against all inclusives! And I have been telling every bride that Aruba has the best restaurants, you dont need to get all inclusive there -

I was in aruba 10/17-24, not sure when you were there exactly - but I can tell you because of the massive rain they had in September, there were an insane amount of flies all over!

The Riu Palace or the Occidental are the ones that are popular.. I would prob go with the Rui over the occidental though..

Are either of these adults only??

Nope - none are adults only in aruba....

I stayed at the Marriott Surf Club and it was flooded with kids - i thought kids would have been in school but there were small screaming ones LOL and i guess parents pull some kids out of school...

Actually Bucuti Beach is adults only. Totally loved our stay there. My TA recommended it and got us a great deal.
