All inclusive wedding packages. Are they worth looking at or not

I recently just got engaged and have begun the process of looking for our reception site. I have heard about these all inclusive wedding packages. They include a cocktail hour the reception meals, dj, photographer, florist, open bar and limo. Me and my fiance live on Long Island. Can anyone help with this? I've seen an add for the thatched cottage to give an example of a place. please help!!!!

They are definitely worth checking out. There are some nice places that offer a reasonable package for $8k - 13K for up to 100 ppl. They include photo, video, florists, limo, 4 hr recep, ch and a few others.

I would suggest Brentwood Country Club - really great reviews and I think a Sat. night pkg is $13k incl the above plus invitations. The food is really good and its one event at a time. Others to consider are Mediterranean Manor (MedManor.com), Thatched Cottage and Beach Club Estates. They usually offer the very basic pkg, so if you want to upgrade, it will cost extra. A place in Brooklyn would be Gennaro's.

Another great place is Douglaston Manor in Queens... they offer an all inclusive deal bt. November - February only for like $8995 or something like that. Anything over the initial 100 ppl is extra like $65pp

Hope this helps.

A lot of great places offer deals like this, especially in off-season times.

I'd say if you're not the type to want to deal with booking individual vendors, then it's worth looking into. Definitely get all of the details and compare the deals.

Good luck! If you have any questions about venues, we're here to help!

Oh and congrats!
