I'm going out of my mind with the constant researching.
I've noticed that certain resorts are at least an hour & a half ride from the airport- ick. We want to avoid that. In Jamaica, that means staying in Montego Bay, but I hear it's not quite as beachy and you deal with the flight.
So...if I were to go with a Sandals/Secrets/Couples all-inclusive, where can I go that's not a long journey from the airport? Anyone know?
Thanks!!

Re: All inclusives- Jamaica or anywhere else
I think Saint Lucia might have a short ride.
I went to Curacao and stayed at the Breezes, as I recall that ride was short.
The Puerto Plata resorts in the Dominican Republic are only about 20 minutes from the Puerto Plata airport.

I've been told the Bahamas Sandals resort is not that far from the airport - you do have to cross the bridge into Paradise Island from Nassau, but Sandals offers all the transportation as part of their cost.

Okay, do you want close to the airport AND direct flight because then your best choice might be bahamas sandals. St. Lucia Sandals is very far from the airport unless you switch planes or take a helicopter ride. Personally I am going to Sandals Negril (jamaica) I don't mind the ride to enjoy the sunsets, the beaches, and the Jamaican sense of relaxation. But if you are against the ride...you might want to talk t o a TA to help you get everything you want.

Royal Plantation has an all inclusive option and it includes the transfers as part of their costs...its a high end sister resort to the Sandals resorts and has a hurricane guarantee just like Sandals does, which is a definite plus!
I'm getting married in August also and that's where we're going..i'm really excited because its a gorgeous resort
