What is the nicest closest hotel to Russo's on the Bay???????????? I am thinking by JFK is the closest and easiest for my out of town guests. We have a small handful and I want to make sure they have a nice place to stay.

I am very unsure about around JFK........................... I was thinking about one of the hotels near LGA they look a little nicer. I definatley plan on going to the hotels and taking a peak just to make sure.
Yeah there is a strip of hotels by LGA that are really nice with nice views. My friends stay there when they visit here. There is the Marriott, the Wyngate(?) Clarion etc etc, dont remember others but less scary than the JFK ones
The Marriot Courtyard and the Marriot and the Crowne Plaza are right by LGA and are nice.

You're right it's right at JFK.. also Russo's has a small motel (not in connection with Russo's) right up the block .. blah I can't recall the name atm.
But yes I think it's best to just get in touch with Kelly @ Russo's.

if you are a russo's bride i would definietly call them and have them help you - they will block out trooms fo ryou and they use one of teh new hotels - its a little bit closer than the airport (maybe like 1/2 mile or so)

I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott by JFK, it was nice, no complaints about it at all. Also my friend from upstate stays at the Doubletree by JFK whenever she comes to visit, also no complaints.

No if you take it into rockaway and take the nassau expressway its soooo quick, its a shortcut...i used to always take the grand central to the meadow brook to get to long beach which took long then someone showed me a shortcut and even from my house its 15-20min tops to long beach and howard beach is closer than i am. Its such a huge difference, i get on the van wyck stay on for about 3 exits then take the nassau expressway, i drive through rockaway for 5 mins and then i cross a bridge and im in long beach

i have no idea what you are talking about.
it is actually pretty clean in there - but the last time we went ( and this was before we drove so dont worry it wasnt like this weekend) this guy had a heart attack in the room next to us and the cops and ambulance came it was the scariest thing ever!

my mom works at the hampton inn at jfk i have stayed there before and it is pretty nice and they have the whole free breakfast in the morning too!!
