All that money, just for invitations?
Okay, enough is enough. I have spent thousands of dollars on a photographer. Thousands on a dress. Thousands on a videographer. Thousands and thousands on a hall. I will spend at least a thousand on a DJ. I refuse to spend hundreds of dollars on invitations. So, what are my choices? I am left ordering ordinary run-of-the-mill looking invitaions right? Does anyone know where I can order invitations that are nice but not crazy money (meaning i will not pay $3.00 and invite plus extra for the other stuff like response cards)? I am having 125 people so I need 75 invites, reply cards, reception cards, envelopes etc. I know that there are sites like rexcraft, invites by dawn, willow tree, etc. (no offense to anyone that has purchased from those) but to me, although some of them are nice, they look so ordinary. I want something special with out spending a fortune. Please Help! P.S. I don`t want to print them myself!

I ordered from Rexcraft online. You can request samples to be mailed to you and if you decide to order, they have a cool tool so you can see what your invite will look like.

re: KGB/online tool to preview invitations...
KGB, thank you so much for mentioning Rexcraft and that preview option. I have been wondering how my wording would look, and this tool really helps!! I am not sure if I am going to order from them, but I did erquest a few samples of invites just to see!! Thanks again!! :)

This is just my opinion, but you're thinking about it all wrong. It's precisely BECAUSE you've spent so much on the wedding itself that your invitations should look as beautiful, elegant, and professional as possible. You know how much work and money you've put into the planning of the wedding, but the invitation is the first 'taste' your guests will get of the quality of the affair before they get there. (And, here's the tacky point..., as most guests write out the check before they get to the wedding, they might be encouraged to give a larger gift if the wedding appears to be a truly elegant affair even before they arrive...) Again, just my opinion. Good luck.

Im sort of a paper snob so places like Rexcraft and Willow, etc just didn't work for me. One invitation company that I really like the work of but wasn't completely insane in their pricing is www.gaddisdesign.com You will end up spending a few hundred but I believe its worth spending a little more to set the tone for your event. But you don't have to spend a fortune on them.
